i have an 1839 musket, 39 barrel. excellent condition complete with ram-rod and bayonet. i am not a gun expert but it comes with a framed certificate from westley richards & co. ltd. this was given to the buyer when he purchased it from then in 1970s. It states- patt 1839 smooth bore musket. The first english percussion musket, made from brown bess flintlock components converted where necessary to percussion useage i.e lockwork. Issued to many regiments including weapons made up for the east india company, distinguished by the rampant lion motif on the lockplate. i cant get pics to upload, email for pictures- markjdoble @$%$%$% @$%$%$%.com
